So, all last week the RonPaulians were GUARANTEEING that food prices were going to shoot up today. One claimed it would be 40% overnight. This particularly humorous post was asking why Ron Paul wasn't making a fool of himself by talking about something that was not going to happen.

Go figure...I went to the supermarket today and food prices were EXACTLY the same as they were last week. Well, not for everything. I mean, SOME foods did go up considerably. But some are considerably cheaper. You know, with a new set of sales and everything.

Why isn't RP addressing current issues!?!?!?!?

With the rise of food costs coming up this weekend, why isn't Ron Paul addressing these issues anytime he is on the air? America needs to see that Ron Paul can fix our solutions, he needs to aggressively attack the high costs or gas and food (2 essentials of everyday American survival). I really think if he started talking about it now and how he can fix it, and talking about it even more after the prices got high, America would LISTEN. At least the moms and dads who need to buy food to feed their kids!!

Basically that, lol. My ad would ask people to send an email to xxxx@whatever.com to find out more. Once that happens, they would be on my mailing list. I can set up a series of scheduled emails to go out to all subscribers, say, every 3 days with something different. I brought this idea up before. How about we create a political party - national party that opens itself to all Americans and runs candidates in all levels of government? We could use it as a "libertarian trap." We will get people to join, but we will gradually "reducate" members with libertarian views and ideas. The party leadership will be libertarian.

People just do not know.
I carry a Ron Paul sign in my car.At stop lights, I stick out the window and honk my horn while I wave it around. A lot I hear "He's not running." Sometimes I hear someone cheer or honk but it gets attention. I was very pleased to find out that much local law enforcement around here likes Ron Paul but erronously thought he had dropped out.They know the truth now.

This thread is funny for many reasons. First, the typical "Let's boycott Coca Cola to free Tibet!" crap. Of course, not one penny of Coca Cola, or McDonald's sponsorship of the Olympics are going to China. So it doesn't hurt China one bit. Nor does it hurt the 2008 Olympics.

Then there is a very sensitive RonPaulian who in telling the original poster that he is being ridiculous, chose an image of the late Christopher Reeve with the caption "Get Off Your High Horse" Classy. Definitely Ron Paul-like to make fun of an injury that proved to be fatal.

And then there is this post. This guy is all about boycotting Chinese products...except when he REALLY wants them! That is what boycotting is all about! Boycott products you don't really want anyway! Even though our actions may be too little, too late, I have been avoiding the purchase of Chinese products as much as humanly possible, and I will continue to do so.

Of course, I have a computer and it may be made in China, but there is not much I can do about that if I want a computer. However, during Christmas shopping (for instance) I returned EVERYTHING to the shelf that said "China". . . . Not ONE Chinese gift from me!

First I would like to say that I understand that AJ is a divisive fellow amongst Ron Paulers on the Forums. I don't mean to start a war, the purpose of this thread is to send a message to Alex Jones so that he does NOT continue to misinform his listeners regarding the Ron Paul campaign. What AJ is claiming will cause Ron Paul delegates to drop out and give up before they go to the Convention, we CAN NOT allow this to happen.

I couldn't believe my ears when I was listening to the Alex Jones show on 4/2 when Alex claimed that Ron Paul is telling his delegates to vote for McCain at the National Convention so that he (RP) is not accused of "stealing" the nomination. We NEED a delegates section! ! ! !

I'm not sure why, but no one (national campaign, forums, other websites) seems to be interested in providing a central clearinghouse for delegate support and information. Maybe it is our libertarian streak that resists central planning; But I'm telling you this could cost us.

Here in Iowa we have some of the same problems that they are facing in Nevada. In fact I cannot believe that we all would not have similar challenges in turning local precinct delegates into state delegates and (ultimately) national delegates.

I don't claim to be an "expert" in convention politics, but it is obviously not something in which success "just happens". Like almost everything else in politics, preparation and planning is crucial.

I have heard stories of Ron Paul delegates accidentally splitting their votes or voting against one another because they did not realize they were on the same "team". As we go to higher conventions we will be interacting with new supporters with whom we will need to coordinate. For example, we may need to decide before hand who we are going to vote for to go to national convention, decide on whether or not to try for a slate of RP delegates, decide on who will go "stealth", decide on platform resolutions, etc.

Everyone seems to be assuming that all RP delegates are in meetup groups. This is NOT the case.

In a county near us there were results published for a precinct caucus in which there were only two attendees. Both voted for Ron Paul. They would have automatically been delegates to their county convention. There is no meetup group in this area. We don't know who they are.In areas with a clear majority of Ron Paul delegates, this might not seem to be a problem. Most conventions will not be that way and we will need to be organized or we will NOT be able to translate our numbers into state or national delegates.

Can anyone see a way of encouraging the National campaign into starting an online delegates section? Hopefully, any RP delegate would at least visit the website occasionally, and see an invitation to register as a delegate. They could have us all register like we did for precinct captain. They could designate county, district, and state leaders who could be given lists of delegates in their area. They could contact them to schedule pre-convention training sessions.

Failing that, the headquarters could at least send out an invitation to contact their area coordinator.

Of course it would also be nice if this forum had a delegates section. I know that each state has its own section, but there are some things that delegates could share nationally, and it would sure expedite things if we had a gathering place.

Any thoughts?

I'm wondering what it would take to get some type of movement started to change the election process for President? 2,008 has been a complete circus and we are the laughing stock of the world. I have yet to figure out who determines what a "Mainstream Candidate" is, and how certain people can run like Ron Paul with a lifetime of experience and be shunned, or somebody like Oslama who has very little experience and instantly proclaimed to be "Mainstream". What gives? What needs to be done to get the media OUT and from stopping this continuous bullshit of telling the American public who can or can't win? There are polls all over the place, should the polls be banned till election day? What purpose do they serve but to further throw fuel on the fire of the media? Why can't there be debates and people left to judge for themselves who won? After all, the media has proven that polls don't matter, because it's up to THEM who will win the election. This is getting ridiculous now. So, thanks to airing far more debates, CNN barely edged Fox in the 25-49 demgraphic for the first quarter this year. RonPaulians are claiming they had something to do with it. Let's think about this for a second:

1. Most RonPaulians are 16 years old or so. Very few are 25.
2. Most RonPaulians didn't watch Fox News BEFORE this quarter. So how did they hurt them by not watching now?
3. Most RonPaulians didn't watch CNN because CNN rightfully ignored Ron Paul as well. So how could they help CNN's ratings?

The best is the continued delusion that every single person who EVER donated to Ron Paul, or voted for him are rabid, anti-social cult members like they are.

Saving the nation in 4 years. Thoughts and discussion.

Step 1: Platform recognition. January 2,007 - November 2,008

Use the RP08 campaign to push platform recognition into all quarters of the nation, focusing on constitutionalism and respect for the Bill of Rights. Even after the GOP Convention, we still have the political capitol to canvass and push platform recognition all the way up to the General Election. Even without a 3rd party run, we can use the (admittedly quixotic) excuse of a write-in campaign for Ron Paul to continue canvass efforts and lit drops etc with the PRIMARY GOAL of establishing platform recognition amongst the entire American population.

Step 2: Party infiltration. January 2,008 - November 2,010

In order to capitalize on the platform recognition from step one, we need to populate both major parties (especially the GOP) with strict constructionist Constitutionalists and Liberty Platform activists. We need to establish a sincerely MAJOR presence in the existing parties by 2,010 so that from 2,010 to 2,012 we can work on taking over positions of power and authority within the parties in time for the 2,012 elections.

Step 3: Establish moral authority. April 2,008 - November 2,012

Establishing moral authority means creating a recognition that win, lose, or draw, we are CORRECT. Part of this is taking place NOW, with the failing economy, and a belated recognition of Ron Paul's genius on the part of the MSM. We need to really begin to push the establishment of a Moral Authority through a continual and non-stop badgering of all MSM outlets in print, radio, and video with our most solid and positively demonstrable aspects of the Liberty Platform. "The current policy will cause the economy to fail in the following manner." Then the economy fails. "Look at this news story from 2009, we were correct then, and we are still correct now."

Step 4: Demonstrate willingness to sacrifice. June 21st 2008? ?

It is difficult to be specific on this one, but nevertheless it is important. If we can non-violently, peacefully, non-disruptively, without riots, etc. demonstrate that we are willing to stand up in the face of the encroaching evil come what may, beat-downs, tazerings, CS gassings, arrests and so on -- WITHOUT VIOLENT RETRIBUTION -- not backing down, but standing up for the message of Liberty In Our Day, then we can demonstrate to the world that we are SERIOUS about saving this nation. I can perhaps envision 5,,000 people sitting down and linking arms on the steps of the Capitol on 21 June, Say we march on DC without a permit, and thus become subject to arrest for 'assembling without a permit' singing "we shall overcome" with teargas blowing all around us and overzealous riot cops beating the heck out of obviously peaceful protestors on video; This will stick in the craw of John Q Public, and make for excellent material on why the Federal Gov't is out of control.

Step 5: Show of force. April 19th - 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2,012

Establish a day, preferably "Patriots Day" (April 19th) due to the subliminal (and most importantly - UNSTATED) connotation that "we are willing to fight and die if we have to - we won't start any fight, but we will by-God finish one if someone else starts it" to gather annually in DC at 2 Million strong every year for the next 4 years until we have secured control over the Federal Government.

Step 6: Massive liberty campaign. January 2,010 - November 2,012

Run Liberty and Constitutional Platform candidates in EVERY SINGLE OFFICE from local dog-catcher to President of the United States, and EVERY OFFICE IN BETWEEN. Do not leave a SINGLE contest without one of us running for it. We must OWN all ballots in November 2012, and then capitalize on all the work from steps 1 through 5 above to publish lists of "Strict Constitutionalists" and "Liberty Platform Candidates" to work during the July 2,011 - November 2,012 campaign season. Instead of a campaign of just ONE PERSON, we should campaign for a whole slate of candidates, around a common platform: "Liberty and Strict Constitutional Construction"

Step 7: Establish action forum for the elected. November 2,011 - ∞

Create an action committee with an internet forum, modeled after Robert's Rules of Order and chaired by the highest ranking elected official (or their direct proxy) charged with establishing and setting the agenda for restoring the nation. This committee will be the one to determine what policies/orgs/legislation to go after and when. This will be the committee that decides when and how to go after the Federal Reserve, the DOE, the IRS etc, and how.

I need to have people on this forum seriously answer this question: What the hell are we doing? There are only two contenders left in the GOP race - one of them is our guy. McCain has broken campaign finance laws, is constitutionally not legal to run for office, and is flat out unelectable according to many conservatives, even within the party. The grassroots, AND the national RP campaign, have the ability to undermine McCain's chances, and yet Ron Paul himself practically conceded the race in his latest campaign update video.

What the hell are we doing? ?

We have the ability to spread the evils of McCain's ways, and the legitimate claims of his unlawful conduct. Why aren't we doing something about this? Believe it or not, Ron Paul's nomination may VERY WELL be the closest to attainable RIGHT NOW than any other time during this race! Also, factoring in the fact that REAL delegate numbers are truly up in the air right now, with the great potential of the power of the RP grassroots support enabling RP to actually take the national convention, it makes me worried for the general state of the campaign.

Just because we worked hard and didn't see results strong in numbers, doesn't mean that the race is over! In fact, all of our hard work has paid off and it has put our cause in the best position it's ever been in. Why aren't we working tactically to make sure that we can use the GOP's own weapons against them? It can be done!

Of course, there is a MAJOR flaw in this plan. That is that if that was how it worked for all states, then McCain would be the winner in all but 2-3 states. (The 2-3 states that no one campaigned in except Ron Paul...yet he still could only manage 2nd place.) It's give him close to 1800 delegates by now.

The Greatest Mistake the Campaign Made
I believe is that, even though radio talk show host Michael Savage had an open invitation for all GOP contenders to go on air with him, Ron Paul didn't. If Ron Paul would have went on the night before the Iowa caucuses, he could have won. That broadcast has has apx. 10 million listeners on a weekly basis. considering that 40K votes won the Iowa Caucuses, reaching out to a mere 31K more voters would have led to a victory, albeit narrow, over Huckabee. Not to mention the fact that if we were able to convince a quarter of his audience, just that night, We would have at least 2.5M nation wide voters, then incorporate Iowa momentum, and you got yourself a nominee in waiting. His audience already believes the Iraq war to be a strategic error, the gold standard should be applied, and many other issues, you need only make that last leap and they are entirely in that boat. I think a half an hour of Ron Paul on Michael Savage at a strategic time might have been a guarantee of nomination.

Check out this list of "infractions" from this moron. I can't believe that someone is STILL claiming that the income tax amendment wasn't ratified by enough states. Of course, he doesn't even TRY to give any proof of any of this. We should just take his word for it. Of course, it was ratified by 42 states (out of 36 needed), with 4 states rejecting it and 2 not voting at all (since it wasn't necessary after the 36th state). Thus making it a legal amendment, ratified by more than enough. But again...don't believe facts. This guy says no.

Now, I know what you are thinking..."Ignorant? I thought they were Wacky!" Don't worry. they still are wacky. But this example is more about their ignorance than their wackiness. This also is not a link to the Ron Paul Forums. This is a story that happened in my city last week. I thought I was share it with you to show the kind of people Ron Paulians really are.

I am from a city with a NY State university. Last week, a bunch of anti-War people, most with Ron Paul crap on decided to have a rally on campus. They then decided to take their little rally to the streets of the city. They march down a busy highway with their silly signs and their silly chants. I am not talking about Main Street where the traffic is stop and go and never more than 10-15 MPH. These morons were on a road where traffic zips by at up to 50 MPH. It is also only two lanes in each direction.

So these idiots were walking ON the road. they were COMPLETELY blocking one of the two lanes in one direction, and half blocking the other lane. In other words, cars that would normally be travelling 50 MPH had to stop completely, which is very dangerous during the busy time of day, which this was. (They DID cause one accident due to this.)

Anyway, I passed by on the other side of the road as I was heading to the plaza that this was happening outside of. I noticed just how much they were blocking the traffic because I knew I was not going to go back that way if they were still there.

Understandably, the cops were called in the interest of the drivers' safety, as well as the safety of the morons who were protesting. By the time they had arrived, I had already conducted the business I was doing and stuck around to check it out. The cops formed a human chain on the road and explained that they were not allowed to block traffic and that what they were ding was very dangerous to everyone involved.

At this point, one dumb bitch screamed that he was wrong, and that they had a first amendment right to do what they were doing. One cop calmly explained that they could not block traffic. Of course, he is correct. Free speech does NOT give you the right to break other laws.

At this point, there were only 4 cops and about 40 morons. And the morons were winning. As the cops would try to corral them back to the side of the road, some would run around the human chain and back onto the road. I saw one almost get nailed by a car doing 25 MPH. It would have been great f he had. Maybe then they would have realized what they were doing. Then another tried to break through the linked arms of the cops and the cops stood their ground. The idiot fought back and started really shoving the cops and trying to break through the arms.

At this point, the cops were outnumbered and in a very dangerous situation. Some jackasses were waving signs threatening to hit the cops. A few actually DID swing their signs at them, and at least one girl hit one cop in the back. That is where the cops did the right thing and brought out the pepper spray. In the end, 10 students were arrested.

But wait...that is not the funniest part. After one ignorant fool was bailed out, they interviewed him on our local news. He said that he was not worried about going to court because it would DEFINITELY be thrown out. when asked why, he smugly looked into the camera and explained that when he was being arrested, he asked why the cop was not reading him his Miranda rights and that the cop snapped back "You watch too much TV, kid. I don't have to do that now." So, in this little boy's mind, this was an automatic Get Out of Jail Free card.

Of course, the cop WAS right. On both counts. Miranda Rights must be read before questioning, or else nothing the defendant says can be used against him. That is it. There was no questioning involved in this case.

Of course, why did this know it all think that he was home free? Because he DOES obviously watch too much TV.

That is the typical Ron Paulian. Just like the dumb bitch whining about her first amendment rights to dangerously block traffic on a fast highway. They think they know everything, yet are wrong about pretty much everything.

Of course, the protestors trootted out a video tape that they claimed showed the cops spraying the pepper spray with no provocation. This was obviously bullshit. In typical fashion, the video conveniently begins AFTER the protestors started the fight. But the funny thing is, they apparently didn't realize that there was a couple of security cameras due to a nearby bank, as well as the dashboard cameras in the cop cars. Both showed that the portestors obviously started it. They were made to look stupid.

Some might be expelled from school now. Just 2 months away from graduation. Awesome!

I especially love how they talk about being disenfranchised, yet that is EXACTLY what they are trying to do to the majority of voters who chose McCain. How far could we take it?
Let's say Paul does get the nomination through the successes of the delegates (if they continue to do as well as they have). If we do that, the national convention will be full of Paul supporters... Free to do what they want. From what I know, the entire platform could be changed. Everything people think the GOP stands for can be changed to what it should be, and used to be, for. How much farther could we go? I mean... Could we even elect a new chairman/chairwomen of the GOP?I'd like to remind everyone that the neocons were a small group when they first started... They eventually did what we are doing now, and were successful. Now look where they are. Influencing millions in their horrible ideas, and even their own whole channel. Well the campaign seems to be picking up steam again!
However, It was also before the dec. fundraiser that scared the @$! Out of corrupt authority and initiated the blackout of Dr Paul. I see everyone avoiding talking about 1 subject. Any lawyers here know criminal law?
I need some advice quickly, and this forum to me basically is the largest collection of liberty minded people I know of, so I wanted to ask a question. Since the answer is needed fairly quickly, and I have no money for a lawyer, I really hope someone reads it here and has an answer... perhaps the mods will move this, but I know my best chance for an answer in time is in the section...

I was at a friends house last weekend.. woke them up in the middle of the night because I was stuck in their yard.. the home owner I have been friends with for 10 years now was not at home at 3 AM.. her 17 year old daughter was. I pounded on the door persistently in an effort to wake up this person knowing she would be less than happy, but her daughter who was home alone called the cops instead...

OK, that was a mistake, but I had little choice because I was miles from anything and had no phone with me...

The issue I have is that I was charged with disorderly conduct.. a catch all, and criminal trespass. the charge of disorderly I have less issue with, the trouble I have is the charge of criminal trespass.The next day after a night in jail and a 250 dollar impound, I called the homeowner who told me she was NOT pressing charges. It is the deputy who pressed trespassing charges against me...

I was never asked to leave that night... (nobody answered the door), nor have I ever been in the ten years I have known this woman.. I have always been welcome to stop by. Can a deputy press charges of criminal trespass on his own against someone on private property even if the owner of that property is not pressing charges? ? ? ?

In fact I am still welcome to enter onto this private property by the owner even after this.. doesn't "trespass" mean you are on property you know you are not allowed on and have been asked to leave? Can a deputy press charges of trespass against someone even if the land/home owner is not pressing charges?

Okay guys, there were some hot threads about the official campaign today here, here, here and here

I have noticed two groups of supporters;

A- This group thinks that the management of this campaign has been inefficient.
B- The other group thinks that the campaign is also inefficient but this group prefers that we should get over it, keep our mouth shut and keep going.

My personal opinion is that we still have 5 months. And this is a long time. If we can find more experienced people to lead this campaign I believe we can achieve some success and sooner is better than later.What I am suggesting if enough people agree is that we can try to change the management of this campaign through two ways;

First: Signing a petition to impeach this campaign so we can make sure that our voices reaches Ron Paul himself.

Second: Create many websites calling for the impeachment of this management.

I keep seeing all this debate on whether or not we should still try to get delegates to change the platform, rules, etc. Realistically speaking, John McCain will probably be the nominee because of the different party rules and state laws on bound delegates. So even if you are a Ron Paul supporter, you might still have to vote for McCain.

But there is another aspect of this that no one is talking about. Even though you might be bound to vote for McCain, there is no rule that you have to vote for McCain's Vice Presidential nominee. Ron has stated that he would not be Vice President because McCain would not ask him. But what would happen if the delegates put forth the name of Ron Paul?

Would Ron get on the ticket if the Convention Delegates asked him?

(Just sharing my thoughts here, so no flames, please!)I always followed the news even before I heard about Dr. Paul back in May 2007. The night he and Giuliani went at it in South Carolina was the night I realized I found exactly what I had always been looking for. Since then I've read a lot of books on foreign policy, watched numerous videos about our Constitution, and have done what I can with with time I had to educate myself and others. Like so many of us, I went to rallies & Meetups, handed out information to strangers, and spoke to friends and family about the message RP was putting out. I sacrificed a lot of time, but no where near what some of you folks have done. I'm a father of twin 4-year-old girls, and I work evenings. So my time is limited, but I did what I could.Like everyone else, I watched the MSM ignore Dr. Paul for so long, even after all of our best efforts. I watched CNN go to their "Internet reporter" to talk about RP, I watched websites talk about "the candidates" without even mentioning RP. Then I watched Americans go out and vote. Again, we did a good job of getting the word out, but the 10-15% of the votes we got was usually ignored by the press. Louisiana and Nevada were also hushed by not only the MSM, but the Republican Party, and that really ticked me off.At this point I feel even more apathetic than ever. Ok, maybe that's not the best word to use, because I still care, but I've stopped following everything. I don't go to news sites any more. I haven't been reading much lately. I stopped watching the news on TV, and I realize that's not a bad thing. But I also took Stewart & Colbert off the DVR because I've become that disinterested in politics now. I've had them on the DVR since I first got the thing so many years ago. I still read the forums here on a daily basis, but I've pretty much gone into lurk-mode.I know with time this will pass and I will once again pick up where I left off. I think Dr. Paul's new book will put the spark back. There are a ton of other books I've been meaning to read, especially Nemesis by Chalmers Johnson (already read the other two books in the Blowback trilogy). With time, I'm sure I'll be back to reading regularly.These past couple months haven't been terrible, all things considered. I've been spending a heck of a lot more time with the family lately, and that's nice. My world no longer revolves around the message. I guess the pendulum is swinging the other way right now. Hopefully balance can be obtained so I give everything and everyone the proper amount deserved time. I'm not really sure what the point of those post is anymore. I'm half tempted to delete these rambling thoughts. Now, I know what the RonPaulians are going to say to stave off reality a little bit more. They will say that Ron Paul doesn't NEED the money anymore. And that is largely true. I take the fact that Ron Paul had record breaking fundraising, has won almost every straw poll, wins almost every post-debate text votes, and yet the media portrays him as a joke. I want to beable to say a good reason behind this. I can't just say because the media has its corporate interests in the other candidates with no direct reasoning, its just not believable and I jsut sound like a sore loser. So my question is, why is it that the media does not want to see Ron Paul as the next president?

Now they are turning on Ron Paul for having SOME common sense and dignity. They are mad at him for not telling them to lie and cheat. Ron Paul would be VERY MUCH against what they are doing. Because it could have long term negative affects on his career. But they won't listen.

My favorite part of this is how they prove that they are children who have never experienced any type of big event before. They actualy thnk that if they hurry and book all the rooms near the convention that they could shut out other delegates. Of course, the major hotels near the convention center have been booked for MONTHS already. It is they who will be shut out if they didn't make reservations some time last year.

But seriously...read the last three parapgraphs of suggestions. They complain about the media suposedly playing dirty tricks by not talking about a guy with 5% support as a legitimate contender. (And they are right to do so.) But then they advcate using dirty tricks...but call it "playing the game." And they are proving themselves to be nothing but hypocrites.

If Ron Paul had any sense or desire to run for a larger ofice in the future, he would publicly make a statement denuoncing the current actions being proposed by his grassroots support.

Roughly a year ago several individuals who had been inspired by his 1988 Presidential campaign approached Congressman Paul about a possible Presidential run in 2008. Dr. Paul was apprehensive about the idea as he didn't think many people were concerned about things such as the economy, non-interventionism and the Constitution. He was concerned that his ideas wouldn't resonate with Republican voters nor would he have the financial backing necessary to launch a nationwide campaign. Despite those concerns, Dr. Paul began his 2008 Presidential campaign in mid-January 2007.

By summer 2007 Dr. Paul's message of Peace, Prosperity and Freedom was spreading across the internet faster than a chain letter that promises good fortune when forwarded to 30 people. Forums such as DailyPaul and RonPaulForums popped up and quickly surpassed other well known sites in regard to internet traffic. YouTube and Digg became Ron Paul dumping grounds with hundreds of posts/video's being created each day. Meetup groups were created at astounding rates. Ron Paul quickly became the most searched person on Google and hugely popular on Facebook and Myspace. People walked across towns, Granny Warriors drove across the Country. Blimps and Air Corps took to the air. People all across the Country were painting their cars, hanging signs and even getting RONPAUL license plates on their car. By the end of 2007, Ron Paul had raised more money during the 4th quarter than any other Republican candidate.

Ron Paul once said "I was very reluctant to enter the race, didn't think it would last more than a month or two." We proved otherwise. We proved that Americans are concerned about things such as freedoms, tyranny and a struggling economy. We proved that Dr. Paul’s message not only resonates with Republicans, but also Democrats, Libertarians and most importantly even apathetic voters. We showed that we care about the Constitution and our Founding Fathers suggestions of non-interventionism by contributing millions of dollars into the Ron Paul war-chest. But most importantly, we proved Ron Paul wrong! We are very much concerned about some of the same things.

Ron Paul recently released a video to supporters in which he states "Though victory in the conventional political sense is not available in the presidential race, many victories have been achieved due to your hard work and enthusiasm. We must remember elections are short-term efforts. Revolutions are long-term projects,". Dr. Paul acknowledged that John McCain has the delegate count and will win the nomination.

Ron Paul is wrong! Don't listen to such rhetoric. It sounds like Dr. Paul has been watching too much of the MSM. We aren't quitters and this fight is far from being over. We CAN still win this race. There is a lot of time between now and the convention in St. Paul and a lot can happen. We don't need to throw in the towel just because the race is getting difficult. Now more than ever we need to be energized not demoralized.

We still need to organize meetups, sign bombs, email bombs, phone banking, leaving fliers everywhere we go. People still need to flood YouTube with videos and bombard digg.com with stories. This race is not over and we don't need to quit as if it was.

Get motivated and get organized. Join your local GOP and start attending meetings. Propose Ron Paul style resolutions at GOP events. Find out the delegates in your area and go talk to them. Encourage them to support Ron Paul as he is the ONLY conservative in the race. Don't quit people. Ron Paul is wrong. We CAN still win this!

Most importantly.. EVERYONE needs to be in St. Paul MN for the convention. EVERYONE needs to book their hotel, campground or room A.S.A.P. and get as many people to attend as you possibly can. We need our Revolution to convey in MN, Sept 1-4th. This is important because Ron Paul people need to fill-up the town during these days. We need not leave a single hotel room, or bed available.

If there is anything we have learned over the last year it's that politics is sometimes a dirty game. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to even the playing field if you wish to compete. Michigan is expecting 45,000 Delegates, Alternates and Volunteers to attend the convention. We need to do our best to ensure that none of them have anywhere to stay. We NEED our revolution in MN and we need our revolution to be huge. Let’s show Ron Paul that he is wrong again. We can still win the White House in 2008!

Up until now, the subversion of democracy has never crossed the line to blatant lying. Up until now. Desperation has caused RonPaulians to now advocate blatantly saying they are Ron Paul supporters to be chosen as delegates, and then voting for Ron Paul (Up until now, they have told the "stealth delegates" as they call themselves to declare themselves undecided.)

This idea came from another thread.One thing I noticed is that Ron Paul supporters are very active in the political process, they want to be involved, they are not apathetic like other supporters.

Ron Paul can win the GOP, if most his people go stealth, here is the plan go and be a delegate for McCain, never reveal who you really support even to the other Ron Paul supporters. I know this would be very difficult to do, you would feel like a traitor. You would have to be a good actor or actress too, pretending to support McCain and his war mongering ways. Even wearing McCain buttons and shirts and waiving his signs, all part of the guise.

Once a delegate on the floor of the GOP convention like a patriotic superhero your take off your McCain shirt and reveal who you really support with a Ron Paul shirt underneath, and there is nothing the GOP could do at that point. And if anybody came asking what happened to you, you could just say "hey I don't want my grandkids in Iraq, do you?" Enough said.

As I read through these many threads, I still hear cries of desperation and fear. I just want to say that all is not lost and in fact, we are in a much better position than we realize!

Without getting into the details explained in many other threads, all you need to remember is that our man, Dr. Ron Paul, has been in similarly bleak situations before. Many other great leaders have also found themselves against seemingly decisive and overwhelming odds.

But the key to winning in any situation when you are either severely outnumbered or have been dealt an truly unfair hand, is to strike hard when the time is right.

Think of the story of David and Goliath... a small shepherd with small river stones against an army of well-armed, well-trained, literal giants! Surely the Israelites thought David had no chance. But, we all know the story, the victor was not determined by might, but by well-timed strategy.

So, back to turtles... I and others have mentioned this analogy. Now it is time to get a little bit more specific and label Dr. Paul a snapping turtle... A turtle who is mostly slow and still, patiently waiting, until prey is within reach. At that instant, it snaps to the kill in the blink of an eye, with no way for the prey to even know what happened.

Dr. Paul knows full well that the other candidates, the media, and all other controlling parties, have stacked the decks against him in the worst possible way. But... but... Ron Paul is a long-distance runner... he understands patience, he knows when to speak and when to stay quiet. When the time is right, I have the utmost confidence that he will "snap" and the victory will be quick and decisive.

So, for all those who doubt, just remember, Ron Paul's message is about hope and freedom. We may have lost many if not most of the battles, but we can and will win the war. Those who oppose truth and liberty will get their just reward.

Look at it this way if McCain indeed does have 873 bound delegates and Ron Paul is the only one left in the race then there are 1507 for Ron Paul

We can win on the first vote. Even if the data on that chart is off and the delegate count for Johnny boy goes above what I calculate a win is still possible at convention.

So with that, I think it is wise to keep pushing to become a delegate.

We have the resources to fund travel of every Ron Paul delegate to the Convention.We can win this thing.

Here is the latest grasping for straws by the RonPaulians. My favorite part of this is how they are still under the impression that EVERY unbound delegate is going to vote for Ron Paul. Even the three heads of the party for each state which are 99.9999% guaranteed to go for the winner of that state's primary/caucus. RonPaulians keep talking about how Ron Paul has vowed to stay in the race as long as his supporters still want him to, and as long as the contributions keep coming in. Well, OK then...looks like it is time to drop out. As you can see, he has raised a total of $910 today. And while the time makes it look like he still has over an hour to go, he doesn't. It is just that Ron Paul is too dumb to realize it is Daylight Saving Time now. This screenshot was taken at 11:53. (And as I type this, it is still at $910 at 11:59PM.) He had a whopping 18 people donate. Only 6 of them new donors.

So there you go Ron Paul..you said you'd stay in as long as people wanted you to. Well, they stopped caring. Time to drop out and save yourself the further embarrassment. You've received enough donations to go on your national book tour. That was your plan all along. Time to start.

Last night I posted a serious warning to Obama spammers that told them to remember what happened when RonPaulians spammed Digg with and endless supply of crap and then used coordinated efforts to get every one to the front page. It worked for a couple weeks, and then it got the vast majority of diggers annoyed enough to bury them as the SPAM that they were. It all snowballed from there, leading the spammers to try to cheat the system by violating Digg's TOS and creating multiple accounts, which led to those accounts becoming basically useless, and now it is impossible to get a Ron Paul story to the front page. (Thank god.)

I points out that if the Obama spammers keep it up, they could be facing the same fate as early as April...a good 6 months before the general election. Half a year of not seeing ANY Obama story on the front page. Ever.

A funny thing happened to my submission. At one point late last night (early this morning, actually) the story had at least 15 Diggs. For the hell of it, I checked the WHO DUGG THIS list and the Digg history of the people who dugg it. I was shocked to find several people with Obama in their candidates list, and who joined Digg in the last month. I couldn't believe that they were Digg up a story that was talking negatively about their actions. But I figured that maybe they were just legitimate Ron Paul supporters, and not Spammers, and therefore were as annoyed as the other 99% of Digg at the ridiculous amount of meaningless Obama stories that get railroaded to the front page.

But then I checked today. Suddenly my submission has just FIVE Diggs. Ten people who gave it a Digg last night have retracted their Digg. And I will give you 1 guess which Diggers were the ones that are no longer on the list.

And that is the hilarious part. Just like with RonPaulians several months ago, Obama spammers are now just doing a search on Obama in the upcoming queue, and blindly digg EVERY story. So, 10 people dugg my story before realizing that it was anti-Obama spam. (Not anti-Obama, but anti-SPAM for Obama.) After they realized it (or were probably told via an Obama forum that posts stories that should be dugg) they quickly came back and undugg it.

I don't know if you would call that proof, but I think it would hold up in a court of law.

It amazes me that anyone on Digg for the past 6 months could POSSIBLY think it is a good idea to spam Digg for a candidate. It started with Ron Paul, and not the Obama spam is far worse than Ron Paul's ever wasn.

THINK about it for a second, children...what happened with Ron Paul? After a couple months of putting up with his crap, Digg got sick and tired an and correctly buried it for the SPAM that it is. Hence, it became harder and harder to make the front page. Finally the RonPaulians had to resort to creating more and more multiple accounts, thus making those accounts virtually worthless when it comes to digging something to the front page. And now, you never see a Ron Paul story on the front page.

This is already starting to happen with Obama supporters. Take a look at the early Diggs of many of the worthless Obama spam. You will find an inordinate number of accounts that were created in the last 6 weeks, and all have done nothing but digg Obama stories. Coincidence? I think not.

There are still almost 8 months away until the general election. If Obama does end up winning, do you really want to have a virtual Digg ban on all Obama stories? Get buried enough for your 20 front page stories a day and that is very well what could happen. How will that help the man?

Legitimate stories are one thing. But every time Obama takes a crap, you do not have to submit a story saying that you stuck your nose in it and it smelled like roses. Keep that up and you will see Obama backlash that will keep him from the front page ever.

Brainstorm on how to achieve legal action against McCain and all non RP delegates

a. form a PAC to track delegates for Ron Paul and not for Ron Paul so we can find legal reasons to replace them with RP delegates

b. attack McCain's ballots, FEC filings, anything and everything to drain his limited funds.

What happens if Delegates vote for Ron Paul at NRC?

We all know the state conventions have not happened yet so we really dont know what the official delegate count will be.

That being said it is more than likely the bound delegates will be slated for McCain. I know for a FACT that some of us plan on going to the NRC no matter who we have to bind our delegate vote for. I personally will tell them what ever they want to hear in order to get my self to the NRC in September. When I get there and it is time to cast my vote, it will go to Ron Paul even if im bound to someone else.

With that vote I will face the consequences of my actions. The question is what is the penalty? If my vote is in violation of party rules, can they make my vote not count?

What happens if 1191 of us crash the party and vote the same? Does this force replacement of us by an alternate delegate? Can they take our vote away from us?

I personally will face the penalty even if it is a violation of federal law to express my right to the first amendment.

Yet another series of threads on the same topic. Claiming that we are down to a two man race. I just can't figure out how that is possible. It is not a race anymore. One participant already cross the finish line. And if you want to say that people are only officially "eliminated" if they publicly claim to have dropped out, then it is still not a two man race. Alan Keyes never officially dropped out. Or, if they are claiming that Ron Paul could still get enough delegates through subverting democracy, then it is an 11 man race because any of the candidates could still have hidden delegates. After all, to win the nomination, Alan Keyes only needs 14 more delegates to go against the will of the voters than Ron Paul does, since that is all Ron Paul earned.

It is prudent that people keep locking up delegate positions because John McCain could die before the convention. He could have a stroke, heart attack, re-occurrence of skin cancer, or even victim of assassination.

So even if you are a binded delegate for John McCain, you'd be able to vote for Ron Paul if something unexpected happens.

What do you hope to get out of this? Seriously.

Let's support that I live in the same fantasy world that you do, and it is a brokered convention. (I realize it is not, but it is fun to pretend sometimes when the real world is not going how you'd like it.) So, let's also pretend that if that happened, Ron Paul would win. (Again, it wouldn't, but like I said, pretending is fun.)

Then what? He would get destroyed in the November vote. So what would you accomplish? All that would happen is the nation, including his own voters in Texas, would see that he is CORRUPT, and that he does NOT care about democracy, since he was so willing to go against 95% of his own party and steal the nomination.

How does that help his cause? Even if he gets re-elected tomorrow, that would be it for him. He would be exposed for the sham that he is. And EVERY candidate that tries to use him for endorsements would be destroyed. He would be a pariah. His career would be over.

Is that what you are going for? Or...are you actually under the impression that after 95% of Republicans have all voted a resounding NO to Ron Paul that he will not only get 100% of the Republican vote, but enough Democrats as well to get him into the presidency?

Oh, and again...if heever stole the election somehow...the IRS would not be abolished. Drugs would not be legalized. So again...what ARE your goals?

Greetings Fellow Liberty Republicans!

I just attended my county Republican convention this weekend and I have to say, I was very pleased by what I saw there.

First off, the lawn outside the convention center was carpeted by campaign signs from all of the candidates. I am pleased to say that Ron Paul signs dominated the landscape! I would say that for every sign a candidate had up, we had at least three. Kudos to Carl Bruining for equipping the supporters in this region to get the word out!

As I went into the convention (I am a county and congressional delegate) to be seated, I saw a lot of local politicians had booths. What I did not see was McCain very well represented. Ron Paul’s booth was big and informative (there was always a group standing there). Huckabee also had a booth, but it was not as well attended.

The first person who got up to speak was Marilyn Musgrave, Congresswoman from the 4th Congressional District in Colorado. She really tried to sell everyone there on the idea of John McCain as the nominee. Funny thing is, it did not look like her heart was in it. She was merely towing the party line. People in the audience were actually standing up and denouncing her words (not too rudely, but vocal none the less). Other than Musgrave, there was only one person who got up and spoke for McCain and I think he was the last minute/only choice of speaker for McCain.

This man got up and actually used words and phrases like “Constitution,” and “return to conservative values,” when referring to McCain. He said he was upset that he was the only one who wanted to get up and speak for McCain. Poor, deluded man…
What really lifted my hopes was when Carl Bruining got up and spoke for Dr. Paul. Every time he spoke of Dr. Paul’s platform, the room erupted in applause.
Here is why my hopes are up…

As I sat there, I realized that most of the delegates in that room were Ron Paul supporters. The reason I know this, is because we had a secret sign that we all went and picked up before the convention got under way. It was not obvious to those who were there, but it was to those of us Dr. Paul supporters.

We had pulled off what nobody yet realizes…we had the majority of delegates!

I cannot wait for State and Congressional…and the National convention! If this is an indicator, we are in the calm before the storm. When the convention in Minneapolis happens, the world will be stunned. Why? Because we have quietly infiltrated the party and we are taking it over.
Hang in there folks…the battle seems to have been lost, but the war is far from over. While they think we are in defeat, we are marshaling our forces for the great battle to be fought in Minnesota. The fight that will take back our party and ultimately, our nation.

Simple: Ron Paul announces his independent candidacy for President in early March.
Instantly multiple money bombs would be set up. People would start collecting signatures for petitions to get Paul on the ballot in all fifty states plus Washington D.C. Media attention would spread. Paul's message would reach new people. Grassroots projects would be revived. Paul would easily garner the needed 10% to participate in the presidential debates (Rasmussen has him at 8-11% as a third party candidate depending on the republican and democrat candidates).
Tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of people would show up on the march on Washington. People want a third party candidate. There is no Bloomberg.

I know Paul seemingly ruled it out here on February 08, 2008. But he wasn't so definitive two days ago on Neil Cavuto's show on Fox News when asked about an independent run. Maybe he allowed himself some wiggle room? Like how he only ruled out a third party run but said nothing about an independent run?

Still thinks that he has a chance at hte nomination, even thoguh in two days McCain will have it wrapped up mathematically.

I think he should wait for the state convention reports to start coming in in April to see if there is still hope we can pull off the nomination.

I was thinking that we should contact all the voters that voted for Paul up to now and agree on having a secret money bomb. I calculated that almost 700,000 have either voted for him in the primaries or caucused for him. If all of them would donate even only $20 each month(giving a total of almost $14 million per month considering those that already voted) until the convention, Paul would have $98 million for a possible independent run. If a person wants to donate more than the $20 I proposed, so be it but I think we can do it. And after other voters had already voted for Paul in the remaining states, contact them. Of course, we should focus on trying to get the Rep nomination but I think something like this would be just awesome. Keep Paul in the spotlight, we do the other stuff. By the way, I wanted to vote for Paul in FL as I registered as a Republican weeks before Christmas but never got my ballot. I'm an ex-pat and I don't know if other ex-pats have had similar problems. Anyways, try to contact all the ex-pats because maybe some didn't receive their ballots or received a Dem ballot. FOR THE LONG HAUL!!

I like this one for many reasons. First of all the continuing desperation on the "McCain is ineligible" crap, even though he is. (Please, RonPaulians..tell me where the Constitution calls him a NATURALIZED citizen...he isn't. Naturalized citizens are ones that have to apply, take the test, and then recite the oath...MCain did not have to do that.) Second, I like how he uses WHEREAS to try to some official. Always great. RESOLUTIONOPPOSING INELIGIBLE CANDIDATES FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATESPRECINCT # _____________SENATE DISTRICT # __________________________ COUNTY, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the 14th Amendment and matching regulations limit citizenship to natural born and naturalized.
WHEREAS, John McCain was born in 1936 in the Canal Zone to citizen parents.
WHEREAS, 8 USC 1403(a) declares naturalized citizenship in 1952 on persons born in the Canal Zone to citizen parents.
WHEREAS, 8 USC 1403(a) applies to John McCain at age 16.
WHEREAS, John McCain is a naturalized citizen.
WHEREAS, the Canal Zone was not part of the United States.
WHEREAS, John McCain was not born in the United States.
WHEREAS, John McCain is a citizen not born in the United States.
WHEREAS, John McCain is not a natural born citizen.
WHEREAS, Article II of the Constitution states to be President a person must be a natural born citizen.
WHEREAS, John McCain is not eligible to be President of the United States under Article II of the Constitution.
WHEREAS, John McCain should be disqualified from running for President and should be decertified and removed from all present and future Presidential ballots, and his past results should be disallowed.THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Republican Party of Texas will update Party rules to leave uncommitted, delegates of a non-qualified candidates for President of the United States; andLET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be passed to the rules committee of the appropriate District and the State of Texas for full consideration.
